if you live in Derbyshire, our borough/district councils support you with a 100% discount on your council tax bill until you are 25
we will practically help you set up home and support you with a £2000 grant to help towards a deposit, white goods and furniture costs. We hope to increase this budget by April 2023 to £2500
we will fund your TV licence until you are 21
you can get 70% off your water bill if you live in the area covered by Severn Trent Water
if you live outside Derbyshire, we will fund your council tax until you are 25. (after you have applied for other discounts)
we will fund up to 6 weeks of Universal Credit equivalent payments for a single person whilst you apply
if you are on Universal Credit, you can get 6 months free Wi-Fi with EE
we support with accommodation costs when choosing to go to university up to the age of 25
if you are on a full-time training course or apprenticeship, the Local Authority will ensure that you are no worse off than if you were claiming benefits
we offer you help to manage your money with budgeting sessions and careful money management
we support you using the ‘Resettlement Passport’ to learn to manage your tenancy and bills
access to your Junior ISA – all children in care get this. We can help you access this so you can save money for you and your family's future
we work with agencies and partners who also help with budgeting courses and skills workshops
