Our promises to you for education, training and employment.
  • we will help you work with colleges, school, FE and HE provision alongside adult education hubs across Derbyshire to access and gain qualifications
  • help to set up a work-based trial week
  • access to a mentoring scheme – to be mentored and to be a mentee
  • access to work and courses related your chosen area of interest
  • level 2 qualifications – access courses
  • careers advice – through our careers service
  • CSCS card support
  • support to return to work after children
  • work ready preparation courses
  • life skills courses
  • support with accommodation costs when choosing to go to university up to the age of 25
  • an EET fund to incentivise, support and maintain your education or employment
  • as part of this, support you to learn to drive to work, or college by contributing the cost of 10 driving lessons when you pay for your first 10
  • guaranteed interviews for apprenticeships with Derbyshire County Council, Chesterfield Hospital and more organisations planned
  • Derbyshire Care Leavers can have guaranteed interviews with Amazon and we have great relationships with lots of different employers such as Seven Trent
  • we will help you find work or alternatives to this if you are not ready for work
  • we will fund apprenticeships with private employers, if we all think it is a good option
