There are over 30 rooms to explore in the house, which today contains works of art that span 4000 years. The 105-acre garden has evolved over more than 450 years, and continues to change today.

The farmyard has been a favourite day out for children of all ages since 1973, and the 1000-acre park on the banks of the river Derwent was chiefly designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 1760s.

The award-winning farm shop is underpinned by the Chatsworth values and philosophy, with more than half of all farm shop products either produced or prepared on the Chatsworth estate. We offer a vast array of Chatsworth meat, poultry and game, home-cooked meats, pies and baked goods and much more. Established by the Duchess of Devonshire in 1977, the shop sold beef and lamb from the estate farms, and venison from the park in order to sell Chatsworth's produce direct to the people who wanted to eat top quality, locally grown food.
